Whirlwind Weekend

Wow. Well it took 3 days, but we've finally recovered from this past holiday weekend. On the agenda were Thanksgiving, family pictures and my brother Seth's wedding. Here are some highlights, because if I go into too much detail this will be the longest post ever.
.
WARNING: PICTURE OVERLOAD!!
We ate Thanksgiving dinner at my Grandmother's house with all the rest of the Larson clan, and some of the Fords. It was awesome as always, even if the kids were more interested in playing with cousins than eating. I'm sure that Andrew & I made up for their not eating. YUM!!

We also presented Nana & Poppa with their anniversary gift- a nativity picture that we had taken a couple of weeks ago. They were super excited, and the kids loved seeing themselves in the big frame.

Aunt Tammy, Uncle Dave, Addy & Ellie were also staying at Grandma's, so we were able to play with them all weekend too. Yea! My kids love them, especially when Dave gives rides on Grandpa's moped. What a great guy.
.

Friday began with all 25 of the Larson family getting together to take family pictures. We also got new family pics of just us Merrimans, so maybe we'll have a new header on the blog soon. That last picture was taken the week of Frank's 1st birthday, so it definitely needed to be updated. The sessions went surprisingly well, especially considering all of the babies & toddlers we have in the group.

Friday afternoon was spent decorating the church & having a rehearsal for Seth & Josylyn's wedding on Saturday. More on that later. After we made it back to Grandma's house that night, we were surprised by Aunt Robyn & Hailey. They drove over to visit, and we had a great time. After Emma & Frank went to bed, I went with them to the movies. What a nice, relaxing evening.

Saturday morning was spent playing with cousins & visiting. Although Uncle Jason had to come visit in his police car to tell Hailey to stay off the sidewalk on the moped. That afternoon we drove out to the church & Aunt Amanda got Emma "super beautiful" for the wedding, because Emma & cousin Reagan were acting as flower girls! Frank says that he was super beautiful, too.
.
Emma has tried to wear the dress every day since we got home, and can't stop talking about it. She was very good during the ceremony, and the wedding was beautiful. Josylyn, oops- Aunt Josylyn- looked gorgeous and Uncle Seth was awfully handsome. At the reception there was lots of dancing, and this was the highlight of Emma's weekend. She danced with lots of boys, but her favorite was her Daddy during the Daddy/Daughter dance.

Frank & I enjoyed the Mother/Son dance too.

It was funny (but not surprising) how Emma was right in the middle of every dance, but Frank liked to dance all by himself off to the side. What opposites! Daddy & Jack had to literally drag us all out of there. We were having such a great time, and I didn't want to leave any more than the kids did!

Once we got home this weekend, there still was no time for relaxing. Andrew has grand plans to build shelving for our storage shed, so he wanted to go through & organize every tote that was out there. We started with the kids' clothing & somehow this mostly got to be my job. Big surprise.

And to top it all off, Emma came down sick yesterday. She missed school today because we're doing breathing treatments every couple of hours, and I'm watching Frank like a hawk to see if he's going to catch it. Jack is sick too. Poor little guy got shots yesterday & now he's sick too? It's awful.

So now it's (hopefully) back to normal life. Well, as normal as our lives get anyway.

It was great to have you guys here for all our doings!
I absolutely LOVE my nativity picture and still can't figure out how you kept the kids from telling me about it.
The wedding dancing was such a hoot. We have some really talented kids and some that really take after their poppa!
Thanks again for making the effort to be here!
