Our Garden Saga
Once Dad was done, it was Mom and the kids' turn to finish it off and bring it to "fruition". I have 4 inch square clumps of green onion and carrots from my 2 little rugrats "helping". But at least these plants are growing! (More on why that excites me later.)
This was the final product after all of our hard work.
So this is what it looks like now. We had to buy tomato plants to experiment with pesticides. We didn't want to re-plant everything only to have it get eaten again, so we had to install some plants to play with. Hopefully this time it'll go smoothly, and we'll be sick of eating squash soon. (One can only hope it's sometime before December, at this rate!).

HELP!!!
Let's see- things to be grateful for:
1. It's raining! Good nourishment for the garden.
2. I'm all out of ideas. Let me know if you can come up with any.

What a Dad!
They had so much fun that we're going to Thatcher this weekend to repeat the experience with Andrew's dad and his ward. What can I say? Andrew's a fantastic daddy!
Correction From the Editors
"What the heck? The Gila Valley has more going for it than just Wal-Mart!"
"Yeah, we have Eastern Arizona College and the (copper) mine, too!"
"And did you hear they're trying to make it Eastern Arizona University? It'll be a 4-year school soon!" (they've been trying to accomplish this since I went there 8 years ago!)
"We have an Ashley Furniture store now!"
