Easter 2012

Easter gets better every year.  It's nice to have kiddos old enough that they don't want to drink the pretty water that's coloring the eggs!  It was also nice to have the kids understand that Easter is about Jesus, not eggs & candy.  We learned a lot more about Jesus this year, because Mommy is in Primary now & can reinforce at home what the teachers are teaching them every Sunday, instead of them hearing 2 different ways of presenting the story.

At the Deans' annual Easter bash James became an egg-finding pro within seconds.  He also tried to knock down another toddler that dared walk near his basket.  Nobody better touch his eggs!  (Even Mommy!)

My kids are getting WAY too big.  Wasn't it just yesterday that they were toddling around in the backyard, not even interested in the brightly colored eggs?

The after-church sugar coma.  Gotta love it!
In Sacrament meeting the Primary kids sang "When He Comes Again"- Jack's new favorite song.  He's sitting under my chair singing it as we speak.  My favorite part is when he says "will Earth be white with drippin' snow" instead of "drifted snow."  It doesn't matter how many times I correct him, either.  That's just the way it is for him.  And I'm OK with it.  Is it bad for a Primary Chorister to let her kid sing the wrong words?  I just want him to SING!

Please remind Jack that "When he comes again" is Nana's favorite song and he needs to learn all the words correctly so he (and the other grandkids) can sing it at my funeral...hopefully he will have a while to accomplish this...
